What is a Group?

A Group is a shared hub for multiple athletes, coaches, and members to collaborate, communicate, and share content — all in one place. While a Space is designed for 1:1 coaching, a Group is built for teams, classes, and communities.

  • A Group is a shared hub for multiple athletes — unlike a Space which is 1:1 between a coach and one athlete, a Group brings together a whole team, class, or community in one place

  • Organized with Channels — Groups can be divided into Channels (e.g. Defense, Offense, Schedule, Announcements) so content reaches only the right people without cluttering the main feed

  • Coaches control the experience — admins can control whether members can post, reply, view other members, and see post views/likes

  • Great for team communication — share videos, photos, notes, and updates with everyone at once instead of posting to individual Spaces

  • Flexible membership — add athletes, assistant coaches, managers, and other staff all in one place

  • PRO members get advanced controls — including the ability to restrict posting/replying, hide member counts, and create more structured group experiences like paid communities or on-demand courses

  • Available on PRO and Academy plans — Analyze members can be invited to a Group but cannot create one

How do I create a Group?

Here's how to create a Group:

Step 1

Select the blue '+' button on the Groups screen. Here, choose or create a new 'Sport'. Sport will be pre-selected if you've defined your sport already during Sign Up to make creation faster.

Step 2

Enter your Group's name, add an optional logo, and update any general contact information.

Step 3

Add athletes and members, as well as Managers, who can help you organize, invite, or edit Group information.

Step 4

Utilize Notification settings during Group creation to set your preferences for app push or email communications. These will default with any other Group you create moving forward. Tap 'Create' in the top bar and invitations will be sent to the selected Athlete and Members. We'll let you know when they join in the Notifications > Invitations tab.

Step 5

You can also add Channels for Group organization, check out more on Channels here.

** Note, this video is on the WEB version. In the mobile app, you can also invite members "FROM CONTACTS" which allows you to select Spaces to add to the Group.
