If CoachNow is freezing, crashing, or running slowly on your device, work through these steps to get it running smoothly again.

If CoachNow is freezing, crashing, or running slowly, work through the steps below in order — most issues are resolved within the first few steps.

1. Force close and reopen the app

This is the quickest fix for most temporary glitches. Fully close CoachNow rather than just switching away from it, then reopen it.

  • On iPhone: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause to see your open apps. Swipe CoachNow up and off the screen, then reopen it.

  • On Android: Tap the recent apps button, find CoachNow, and swipe it away. Then reopen it.

2. Check your internet connection

CoachNow is video-heavy and relies on a strong connection for uploading and playback. Slow or unstable internet is often mistaken for the app crashing. If you're on cellular, try switching to Wi-Fi. If you're already on Wi-Fi, move closer to your router or try a different network.

Tip: Video analysis tools are particularly resource-intensive. If the app only slows down during analysis, a weak connection is the most likely cause.

3. Make sure your app is up to date

Running an outdated version of CoachNow can cause performance issues and unexpected crashes. Visit the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), search for CoachNow, and install any available updates.

4. Restart your device

A full device restart clears memory and closes background processes that may be competing with CoachNow. Power your device off completely, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.

5. Free up device storage

CoachNow needs local storage to process and cache video. If your device is low on space, performance will suffer. You can manage how much storage CoachNow uses directly within the app — reducing this limit often resolves slowness right away.

6. Clear the app cache (Android only)

On Android, cached data can build up over time and cause performance issues. To clear it, go to Settings → Apps → CoachNow → Storage → Clear Cache. This does not delete any of your CoachNow content — it only clears temporary files stored on your device.

7. Check if a specific feature is causing the issue

Some CoachNow features — particularly video analysis, MultiCam, and 240 FPS recording — are resource-intensive and may struggle on older devices. If the app only crashes during a specific action, try the following:

  • Close other apps running in the background to free up memory.

  • Make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi rather than cellular when recording or uploading.

  • If recording in 240 FPS, try switching to standard recording to see if performance improves.

8. Delete and reinstall the app

If none of the above steps have helped, deleting and reinstalling CoachNow is the most effective fix. This forces your device to do a completely fresh install and re-request all necessary permissions. Your account, Spaces, and content are all stored in the cloud — nothing will be lost.
